Requirements Health & Safety
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards across our manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with UK legislation Ensure that any reportable injuries or incidents are reported to the appropriate authorities (for example, HSE under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR)) Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with current UK legislation and industry best practices Deliver engaging safety training sessions and inductions for employees and contractors, including fire safety drills Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, produce detailed reports, identify root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Maintain accurate records of inspections, safety documentation, and training compliance Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage relationship with external health and safety organisations and consultants Support the achievement and maintenance of relevant ISO certifications
Facilities
Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of building infrastructure, equipment, and systems Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, fire alarms, and mechanical systems Ensure facilities meet operational requirements to support our manufacturing operations Monitor and control facilities related costs and budgets Support space planning and workplace layout optimisation Manage waste disposal and environmental compliance activities Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems Proven experience of working within a similar role within manufacturing and engineering sectors Proven experience of responding to urgent maintenance issues and manage emergency procedures effectively Strong working knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation, regulations and best practices Excellent communication skills and able to influence outcomes and engage colleagues at all levels Confident and competent in conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures Managing relationships with external contractors, including tendering for services (for example cleaning, security), negotiating contracts, approving RAMS, issuing permits to work and supervising their work Strong organisational and time management skills and able to evidence successfully managing multiple projects with competing priorities to deliver the best outcomes Confident user of Microsoft Office applications and facilities management systems (for example CAFM or CMMS) Able to remain calm, controlled and work effectively within a business environment which can sometimes be volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous (VUCA) Full UK driving licence and able to travel to our other sites as and when required Experience in electronics manufacturing, cleanroom, or similar controlled environments

You’ll lead on implementing health & safety standards, carrying out inspections, supporting audits, driving facilities improvements, and advising colleagues at all levels. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards Ensure all incidents and reportable events are escalated appropriately in line with UK regulations (including RIDDOR) Develop, review, and maintain health & safety policies and procedures Deliver safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and fire safety drills Promote correct use of PPE and safety equipment across all operations Liaise with external health & safety bodies, consultants, and regulators Support ongoing certification and compliance with ISO management systems
Facilities
Oversee day-to-day building, equipment, and site infrastructure maintenance Manage contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, and project work, ensuring RAMS and permits are in place Monitor and deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes across HVAC, electrical, fire alarms, and mechanical systems Ensure facilities support operational manufacturing needs and uptime requirements Manage facilities budgets, cost control, waste disposal, and environmental compliance Support space planning, layout optimisation, and improvement projects
Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and standards Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments Working understanding of ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Confident conducting risk assessments and safety investigations Experience managing emergency procedures and urgent maintenance issues Proficient in MS Office and facilities management systems (CAFM/CMMS) Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to additional sites if required
