Job Description

As the UK’s leading online bullion dealer with £350m+ turnover, our brands (BullionByPost, Gold, and others) are trusted by thousands of investors.\n\nYou’ll join a fast-paced, specialist business where vigilance, trust and operational excellence underpin everything we do.\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are hiring a Health, Safety & Facilities Officer to champion workplace safety, security, operational readiness and environmental compliance across our Birmingham operations.\n\nThis hands-on role safeguards our colleagues and workplace by maintaining security, managing facilities partners, supporting incident response, and ensuring we continue to meet the standards expected of a high-value operational environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead proactive safety checks, inspections and risk assessments\n\n * Maintain compliance with relevant workplace and H&S legislation\n\n * Coordinate facilities maintenance, contractor attendance and site access requirements\n\n * Support and improve operational monitoring and incident reporting processes\n\n * Lead emergency preparedness activities including fire safety and evacuation drills\n\n * Deliver effective onboarding and ongoing training related to safety and operational standards\n\n * Build strong working relationships with external partners including service providers and authorities\n\n * Promote a culture of accountability, awareness and pride in keeping the workplace safe, efficient and compliant\n\nSkills & Experience\n\n * Experience in operational safety, facilities coordination or risk management\n (ideally within a high-value, regulated or operational environment)\n\n * Understanding of workplace H&S regulations and safe systems of work\n\n * Hands-on incident management and root-cause prevention experience\n\n * Ability to work closely with teams across the business to influence behaviours\n\n * Full UK driving licence - essential\n\n * IOSH / NEBOSH - desirable\n\n * First Aid / Fire Marshal - beneficial\n\n * Working knowledge of monitoring systems (CCTV, alarms, access controls) - beneficial but not essential\n\nWhy You’ll Love It Here\n\n * Real ownership of on-the-ground safety, risk and operational assurance\n\n * Opportunity to evolve and continuously improve our protective measures\n\n * High visibility and influence across a growing, ambitious business\n\n * Join a culture rooted in Accountability, Agility, Integrity, Clarity and Efficiency\n\n * Make a meaningful impact every day - ensuring people feel safe and supported at work\n\n * Culture rooted in Integrity, Agility, Ambition, Clarity, Efficiency\n\nAbout You\n\nYou’ll thrive in this role if you:\n\n * Stay calm and decisive under pressure\n\n * Can influence and enforce high standards with confidence\n\n * Enjoy being visible on the ground, not behind a desk\n\n * Are detail-obsessed and proactive in spotting risks before they escalate\n\n * Believe safety and security enable performance - not restrict it\n\nReady to Apply?\n\nIf this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you.
