We are working with a leading civil engineering contractor who are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support their operations across multiple groundworks and civils schemes. This is a hands-on role offering excellent exposure to a range of projects and opportunities for career development.

The Opportunity
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting site teams to ensure safe working practices, compliance with statutory requirements, and the promotion of a positive safety culture across all projects. This is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of relevant experience looking to further their career in construction health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide on-site health & safety support for civils and groundworks projects

* Monitor compliance with legislation, company policies, and site safety procedures

* Conduct inspections, audits, and toolbox talks

* Investigate incidents and near-misses and assist with reporting

* Support project teams in risk assessment and method statement preparation

* Promote a strong safety culture across all sites

Requirements

* Minimum of 1 year experience in construction health & safety, preferably in civils or groundworks

* Full, valid UK driving licence (essential)

* Knowledge of health & safety legislation, risk assessments, and CDM regulations

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work across multiple sites and manage priorities effectively
