Health & Safety Advisor

A well-established specialist contractor operating across the high-end UK construction market is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support a portfolio of complex reinforced concrete frame and structural projects across Central London.
The business delivers large, technically challenging schemes across commercial, residential and infrastructure sectors and is recognised as a leading specialist contractor in reinforced concrete frames, substructures and associated works.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking a proactive H&S professional who can drive best practice across multiple live sites.
The Role
Working closely with project teams and the wider HSEQ function, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and promoting a strong safety culture across several projects.
This is a multi-site role across Central London, requiring regular site visits and close collaboration with site management teams.

Conducting regular site inspections and audits across multiple RC frame projects
*
Supporting site teams in implementing health & safety management systems and procedures
*
Ensuring compliance with UK H&S legislation and construction regulations
*
Assisting with risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and safe systems of work
*
Investigating incidents and supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
*
Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings and workforce engagement initiatives
*
Promoting a positive safety culture across all operational teams
*
Liaising with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure best practice is maintained
Requirements
*
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within RC frame or concrete structures
*
Strong understanding of construction health & safety legislation
*
Experience working on large construction sites, ideally within Central London
*
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) preferred
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
*
Proactive approach to improving site safety standards
