Health & Safety Advisor – Groundworks & Infrastructure\n\nLocation: Plymouth\n\n£30,000-£35,000\n\nJob Type: Permanent\n\nTake the Next Step in Your Health & Safety Career!\n\nAre you passionate about health & safety and looking to develop your career in the groundworks and infrastructure sector? Do you have SMSTS, CSCS, and NEBOSH? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor, ensuring high safety standards across multiple sites.\n\nThe Role: Health & Safety Advisor\n\nAs a Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the H&S Manager and site teams, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across all projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Site Safety Inspections – Conduct regular site visits, monitoring compliance with health & safety regulations.\n\n * Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) – preparing and reviewing RAMS, ensuring site teams adhere to best practices.\n\n * Incident Reporting & Investigation – Support the reporting, investigation, and resolution of accidents and near misses.\n\n * Toolbox Talks & Training – Deliver health & safety briefings, inductions, and toolbox talks to site personnel.\n\n * Compliance & Auditing – Ensure HSE legislation and company policies are being followed across all projects.\n\n * Support & Advice – Provide guidance to site managers and operatives, helping to maintain a safe working environment.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * SMSTS & CSCS Card – Essential for this role.\n\n * NEBOSH Qualification\n\n * Previous experience in a health & safety role within construction, groundworks, or civil engineering.\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence – Required, as you will be travelling between sites.\n\n * IT literate is a must\n\n * Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage site teams and promote safety best practices.\n\nTo apply, please call (phone number removed) and ask for Cat or Abbie\n\nOur Commitment to \n\nAs a recruitment agency, we are committed to promoting inclusive opportunities on behalf of our clients.
