Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Health and Safety Technician at ME Group UK. The Health and Safety Technician will be responsible for implementing health and safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations. They will also be involved in communicating safety protocols to employees and promoting a safe work environment.


Health & Safety

  • Conduct H&S site audits, inspections, and risk assessments at warehouse, office, and client locations.
  • Create site specific RAMS and Access permit requests.
  • Facilitating and monitoring the completion of external assessments (Fire Risk Assessment, DSEAR, Legionella etc.)
  • Facilitating and scheduling external contractors inspections (Fire extinguisher servicing, Emergency lighting inspections, equipment inspections etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with company H&S policies, and relevant legislation ( COSHH, CDM Regs etc.)
  • Deliver toolbox talks, assist with staff H&S inductions, and maintain training records.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Creating and keep documentation up to date including RAMS, COSHH assessments, and equipment checklists.
  • Support H&S culture across field engineers and warehouse staff; act as a point of contact for operational safety queries.
  • Monitor vehicle safety checks, manual handling practices, and safe loading/unloading procedures.
  • Ensure all employees are up to date with required health and safety training and certifications, tracking completions and following up on overdue items.


Operational Support (Sales, Installations, Maintenance & Logistics)

  • Assist with the preparation and dispatch of vending machines, parts, and consumables.
  • Support installation teams on-site: safe unloading, positioning, basic setup, and documentation.
  • Help coordinate engineer schedules, deliveries, and logistics in line with job priorities.
  • Carry out first-line fault diagnostics or maintenance support where trained.
  • Maintain inventory records of machines, parts, and PPE; support regular stock checks.
  • Provide general operational support to sales team, ensuring readiness for client demos or site visits.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors (e.g. transport providers, site services) and ensure compliance with safety standards.

This is an inhouse role based in our Head Office in Epsom, Surrey.
