We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to champion health and safety excellence within a major multi-sector organisation involved high-profile civil engineering projects. The role fosters a collaborative safety culture across multiple sites and offices, supporting operational excellence, wellbeing, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and promote health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple sectors, ensuring compliance with internal and client requirements. Conduct site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to maintain high safety standards. Support incident investigations, address safety concerns, and facilitate continuous safety improvements. Provide health and wellbeing guidance, including project-specific training and monitoring. Liaise with project teams, contractors, and clients at safety and environmental meetings to ensure best practices. The ideal candidate will have:

Comprehensive knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation, including CDM and ISO 45001. Relevant safety certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ Diploma, and membership in IOSH or equivalent. Proven experience in rail, power, highways, or tunnelling sectors within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 organisation. Strong ability to generate, review, and implement safety policies, conduct investigations, and improve safety performance.
