Job Description:
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety & Facilities Manager to lead H&S compliance and facilities management across two busy warehouse sites. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment, managing contractors, and overseeing building and asset maintenance.
Working hours- 8am until 5pm (1hour lunch)
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Health & Safety compliance across all sites, including audits, risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with HSE, RIDDOR, fire safety, COSHH, first aid, and internal policies.
* Manage hard facilities services including building fabric, utilities, security, cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
* Own and manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme and asset register.
* Oversee third-party contractors, ensuring SLA performance, cost control, and permit-to-work compliance.
* Chair H&S forums and deliver site-based training and toolbox talks.
* Support facilities-related projects such as refurbishments, layout changes, and infrastructure upgrades.
Occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* NEBOSH and IOSH qualified.
* Proven Health & Safety and Facilities Management experience (multi-site essential).
* Logistics or warehousing environment experience desirable.
* Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and contractor-management skills.
