Job Description

Health and Safety Lead in Construction and Engineering\n\nAre you confident managing health and safety in a complex, hands-on environment?\n\nLancaster and Morecambe College are looking for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Lead to take overall responsibility for health and safety across the Construction and Engineering programme area. Working closely with the cross-College Health & Safety team, you will ensure compliance with legislation, promote a strong safety culture, and maintain safe, well-prepared workshop environments. You will also line-manage the Instructor Technician team, providing clear leadership and supporting high-quality delivery across practical learning areas.\n\nYou should have professional health and safety experience, with a practical knowledge of construction or engineering environments.

You will be confident developing and reviewing risk assessments and safe systems of work, analysing data, and preparing for audits and inspections.
