About the Role

Local Education has been engaged by a secondary school within a multi-academy trust to support the recruitment of a Headteacher.

This appointment comes at a pivotal time for the school, with a clear focus on:

Improving Ofsted outcomes (currently rated Requires Improvement)

*

Strengthening teaching, learning and leadership

*

Increasing pupil numbers for September 2026 intake

Key Responsibilities

*

Provide strong, visible leadership across the school

*

Drive rapid and sustainable improvement in teaching and learning

*

Lead Ofsted preparation and school improvement planning

*

Build confidence with staff, pupils, parents and the wider community

*

Work closely with the Trust to deliver strategic priorities

The Ideal Candidate

*

Proven experience as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher in secondary education

*

Strong track record of school improvement and raising standards

*

Experience working in schools rated RI or similar contexts

*

Strategic thinker with strong people leadership skills

*

Committed to inclusive education and long-term growth
