I’m currently working with a syndicate on the appointment of a Head of Underwriting Performance and Oversight to lead performance oversight across a London Market portfolio. This role combines analytics, governance, and leadership, with a focus on ensuring underwriting activity aligns with business plans and delivers sustainable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor underwriting performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
• Deliver clear, insightful management information and reporting
• Challenge portfolio performance, including exposure, pricing, and planning assumptions
• Support business planning and reserving processes
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory requirements
• Lead and develop a team
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls

About You

• Strong London Market experience in underwriting or portfolio analysis
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills
• Good understanding of regulatory and market standards
• Confident communicator with stakeholder management experience
• Proven ability to manage workload and lead others
