Our client is a leading wealth management firm committed to delivering exceptional financial advice and long-term value to their clients. With a growing network of advisers and a strong compliance culture, they are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Training and Competence (T&C) to lead the development, oversight, and execution of their T&C framework.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the firm’s T&C scheme in line with FCA requirements (including SYSC and COBS).
- Monitor adviser competence through KPIs, file reviews, supervision records, and performance data.
- Oversee the onboarding, induction, and supervision of new advisers and supervisors.
- Work with senior leaders to identify training needs and deliver tailored learning solutions across the business.
- Ensure advisers meet CPD, SPS, and exam requirements to maintain competency.
- Provide coaching and support to supervisors, team leaders, and advisers to ensure effective development and risk management.
- Lead regular T&C audits and MI reporting for the board and regulatory stakeholders.
- Act as a key point of contact for regulatory changes affecting training and competence.
Requirements to apply:
- Diploma qualified (DipPFS or equivalent) as a minimum
- Senior T&C experience within the wealth management industry
- Strong experience in adviser supervision
