Head of Talent & OD – Scientific Research & Academia

London (Hybrid)

Up to £97,000p/a + package

We’re partnering with a prestigious, mission-driven research organisation to identify an exceptional Head of Talent & Organisational Development to join them in this newly created role at a critical stage of their journey. As a strategic partner to senior leadership and a champion for people and culture ambitions, you will develop, embed, and evolve initiatives around leadership capability, succession planning, performance, organisational development, and culture change. The business has c.1500 people and, reporting to the CPO, you will inherit a capable team of 10.

What we’re looking for:

• Significant senior-level experience in Talent, OD, or Learning within a complex, multidisciplinary, research-based or academic organisation.
• Strong track record of leading succession planning, leadership development, and organisational capability initiatives
• Demonstrated expertise in organisational design, including shaping structure, roles, and culture to support evolving institutional needs.
• Proven ability to lead and embed inclusive talent and leadership practices
• Experience designing and delivering employee engagement strategies that drive culture change

The business offers a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week in their London office.
