Job Description
The Head of Supply Chain and Procurement leads a value-driving team responsible for all food and packaging procurement and distribution into almost 100 retail locations across the UK and Europe. This well-known, successful and growing Quick Service Restaurant role ensures the highest quality commodities, builds strategic supplier partnerships, and identifies commercial opportunities to drive value while supporting the brand’s health-focused positioning.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Supply Chain & Procurement manages a team of four and is responsible for:
Responsibilities
Identifying and procuring goods for retail stores, including supplier selection, price negotiation, and coordination of purchase and delivery into distribution partners.
Managing inventory and overseeing distribution processes.
Sourcing to agreed specifications while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver the customer offer.
Developing and implementing the complete food, drink, and packaging procurement strategy to achieve commercial and sustainability targets.
Supporting team development and personal growth.
Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, and regulations.
Negotiating supplier and distribution contracts, monitoring SLAs, and maintaining cost-effective practices.
Analysing supply chain data, resolving issues, and implementing alternative solutions where required.
Overseeing logistics from source to warehouse.
Minimising risk through effective demand planning and adoption of technology to streamline processes.
Qualifications
3–5+ years’ experience in procurement within the food and beverage sector, ideally within QSR.
Strong supplier market awareness and the initiative to enhance sourcing across a diverse product portfolio.
Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen, with strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
Strategic thinker with a delivery-focused mindset.
Highly organised with strong multitasking capability.
Driven and ambitious, with the energy to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
Collaborative team player with the ability to lead cross-functionally.
Comfortable being challenged and constructively challenging stakeholders.

Required Skills
Procurement Strategy Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business and sustainability objectives, focusing on quality, value creation, and cost efficiency.
Supplier and Partner Management: Build and maintain strategic supplier and distribution relationships. Ensure SLAs are met and conduct regular business reviews to optimise performance and compliance.
Sustainable Sourcing: Champion responsible sourcing practices across the supply chain, supporting sustainability milestones and long-term environmental commitments.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the Supply Chain and Buying team, fostering collaboration, capability growth, and a culture of excellence aligned with company values.
Strategic Negotiation and Analysis: Apply strong negotiation expertise and analytical capability to secure best value in cost and quality, manage margin performance, and drive continuous improvement through data-led insights and structured tender strategies.
