Job Description
Head of Supply Chain
London, with travel to site (3-4 days per week)
Food retail experience would be highly desirable
My client is an award-winning, high-growth food brand on a mission to shake up their category. With products listed in major retailers across the UK and Europe, they’ve achieved exceptional growth. This is an exciting time to join the business and play a key role in scaling its supply chain and operations function.
About the role
The Head of Supply Chain will lead all supply chain activity across the UK and Europe, reporting to the Operations Director and sitting on the operational leadership team. This is a commercial and hands-on position, owning the full end-to-end supply chain from raw materials through to finished goods delivery.
You’ll oversee demand and production planning, logistics, warehousing, and supplier relationships while driving efficiency, cost control, and service excellence. The role also carries full P&L accountability for logistics and supply performance and the opportunity to shape procurement strategy longer term.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading demand and production planning across own-site manufacturing and 3PMs
Managing raw materials supply, vendor scheduling, and inventory optimisation
Overseeing multiple 3PLs
Developing and mentoring a small but growing supply chain team
Partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Finance to land NPD and promotional activity
Driving efficiency improvements and supporting cash flow management initiatives
Your experience
✅ 5–10 years’ experience in supply chain leadership within FMCG, ideally within food
✅ Strong commercial and operational acumen, with a focus on cost, efficiency, and customer service
✅ Experienced in demand and production planning with exposure to manufacturing
✅ Proven success managing 3PL relationships and logistics contracts
✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both operational and strategic
✅ Previous experience within a challenger or fast-scaling FMCG brand advantageous
