Head of Sport - Talent Management

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £90,000

An established talent agency with deep roots in the entertainment and TV industries is hiring a Head of Sport to lead and grow its athlete representation division.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands the sporting landscape and the commercial opportunities available to athletes beyond the pitch. You will manage a roster of elite athletes across football, rugby, cricket, athletics and more, while building a wider team and developing a strategy that spans traditional representation and media-facing growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and expand the sport division: Take full ownership of the athlete representation team, with responsibility for growing the roster and shaping the long-term vision. You will build structures, lead from the front and scale a best-in-class operation
• Career management for on-pitch athletes: Represent athletes across multiple sports, managing day-to-day needs, contracts and long-term career strategy, both during and after competition
• Unlock media and entertainment opportunities: Help athletes move into broadcast, commentary, public speaking and TV, using in-agency expertise to secure high-impact visibility beyond sport
• Content and YouTube strategy: Support athletes in building digital platforms, creating original content, launching YouTube channels and developing their own IP. Work with internal teams to shape narratives and grow their voice
• Commercial partnerships and sponsorships: Identify and secure brand partnerships across sport, lifestyle, fashion and technology. You will bring an existing network and an instinct for what works for both athlete and brand
• Build and lead a team: Hire, train and mentor junior team members as the division grows. Create a high-performance culture that reflects the professionalism of the athletes you represent
• Act as trusted advisor: Serve as the main point of contact for athletes, their families and external partners, offering clear guidance, empathy and support at every stage of their journey

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

• Senior-level experience representing on-pitch talent
• A strong understanding of commercial strategy across sport and media
• A proven track record of signing and managing talent
• Excellent relationships with brands, broadcasters and rights holders
• A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build high-performing teams
• A passion for helping athletes build careers that span both sport and entertainment
