Head of Service – Supported Accommodation
Location: Stratford (Head Office) with travel across Central London, Midlands & Kent Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 per annum (salary review at 12 months) Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Head of Service to lead our Supported Accommodation provision across Central London, two services in the Midlands, and one service in Kent. This is a senior, strategic leadership role with Registered Manager responsibility, offering the opportunity to shape service delivery, drive quality, and lead high-performing teams across a diverse portfolio.
While the role is strategic in nature, it requires a hands-on, visible leader who will actively support services through a blend of face-to-face visits and remote working. You will be based at our Stratford Head Office, with flexibility around working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as Registered Manager for Supported Accommodation services
* Provide strategic leadership across multiple services, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes
* Lead, support and develop Service Managers and senior teams
* Drive continuous improvement and readiness for inspections
* Ensure services meet contractual, regulatory and organisational standards
* Work closely with central functions to deliver operational excellence
* Maintain a strong presence across services through regular site visits
* Build positive relationships with commissioners, stakeholders and partner agencies
What We’re Looking For
* Proven senior leadership experience within Supported Accommodation, supported living, or a similar regulated environment
* Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and inspection processes
* Experience operating as (or eligible to act as) a Registered Manager
* Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into operational delivery
* Confident, values-driven leader with excellent communication skills
* Ideally hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
* Must have strong experience working with Ofsted, including inspections and regulatory compliance
* Proven experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
* Demonstrable understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* Ability to lead, support, and develop staff teams while maintaining high safeguarding standards
* Willingness to travel regularly across London, the Midlands and Kent
Salary & Benefits Package
* Starting salary: £75,000 – £80,000 per annum
* Salary review at 12 months
* Supported Accommodation inspection bonus: Outcome 1 rating – £5,000
* Retention bonus: £5,000

* Enrolment (post-probation) on our tailored Managers Development Programme, valued at £500 per month per participant
