We have a new opportunity to join our Technology team as Head of SAP Solutions on a permanent basis in London.

Reporting to the Director of ERP and responsible for leading a team of 4, you will manage the implementation and optimisation of SAP systems at Penguin Random House. This leadership role involves overseeing SAP processes to align with business objectives and drive continuous improvement. We seek a strategic thinker experienced in managing large-scale SAP transformation projects and capable of cross-functional collaboration.

The role

Key responsibilities:

• Lead digital transformation initiatives leveraging SAP solutions.
• Oversee all SAP lifecycle phases, ensuring quality standards.
• Provide guidance on SAP best practices and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Manage and develop the SAP team, providing mentorship and support.
• Assist in developing strategic SAP roadmaps aligned with PRH priorities.
• Manage SAP scope, resources, risks, and timelines.
• Ensure timely delivery of SAP projects within scope and budget.
• Support the deployment of new integrations like SAP Concur.
• Facilitate workshops and training for process improvements using Signavio.
• Engage stakeholders to communicate project progress and benefits.
• Ensure integration with financial and ERP systems.
• Implement change management strategies for new SAP systems.
• Conduct reviews and audits for compliance.
• Stay updated on SAP technologies and trends.
• Develop training programs and conduct team meetings.
• Manage team workload, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

What you’ll bring

• Deep knowledge of SAP modules, latest SAP technologies, and best practices.
• Experience with SAP transformation projects, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
• Experience working with SAP suppliers and service providers.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Expertise in SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, Signavio, BTP.
• Analytical, curious, and adaptable mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies for process improvements.
