High growth b2b events business seeks a dynamic and strategic-minded Head of Sales to lead their Sponsorship & Expo Sales team.

Our client is in a major growth phase with significant investment across people and products.

As the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in managing, coaching, and developing the team, ensuring they meet company KPIs and achieve ambitious sales goals.

In this role, confidence in working towards aggressive strategic goals is essential. As a front‑line leader, you will serve as a beacon for the rest of the organization, providing guidance, foresight, and effective day‑to‑day management.

The role demands a comprehensive view of the sales teams, requiring the implementation of strategies, tools, processes, and metrics that positively impact overall events revenue.

They are keen to exponentially grow their Exhibition business over the next 3 to 5 years, and this role reflects their commitment to the vast opportunities the portfolio has to offer.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the MD to lead the team’s strategic direction, with strong growth campaign management, execution and delivery.
  • Partnering with key internal stakeholders to innovate engagement strategies and provide top‑tier solutions for client business objectives.
  • Managing, coaching, and developing the Exhibition Sales Executive team and Strategic Delegate Sales team to high levels of performance and ensuring the team achieves company KPIs and sales targets.
  • Recruitment, onboarding and continuous training of the team to maintain maximum opportunities for growth and scale.
  • Provide transparent forecasting and reporting to Senior Management, leveraging analytics and performance data to manage resources, minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
  • Driving the sales process, maintaining control, and fostering quality interactions with decision‑makers.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, you will work with the MD and Executive Team to design and implement a cohesive business strategy that spans across sales, marketing, and sales enablement teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of hands‑on sales and C‑level events management experience.
  • Proven track record of managing sizable revenue goals and teams.
  • Ability to take a metrics and data‑driven approach to pipeline management with confident forecasting abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting our Value Proposition with clarity and persuasion.
