Head of Property Services West of Scotland – Williamsburgh Housing Association £73,556 - £78,844 Key Responsibilities
Member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) supporting the delivery of WHA’s vision, values, business plan and objectives. Lead and manage the Property Services Team, including strategy development, operational delivery, and team management. Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of property services policies and programs to meet community needs and regulatory requirements. Ensure value for money is embedded to deliver cost effective services and the efficient use of resources. Build and maintain strong relationships with Management Committee members and external stakeholders. Ensure effective management and delivery of an excellent reactive, planned and cyclical repairs and maintenance service to fully comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Drive innovation, particularly in areas of Net Zero compliance. Lead and mentor a dedicated team of maintenance and customer services professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Ensure compliance with all tenant safety and housing quality standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally in the public sector or in a charitable housing organisation. Strong knowledge of housing property policy, legislation, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on partnership‑building and community engagement. Ability to think strategically, balancing long‑term goals with day‑to‑day operational needs. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIH, RICS, CIOB or equivalent) is essential.
