A major UK infrastructure programme is seeking an experienced Head of Project Controls to lead the integration and management of project baselines across scope, time, cost, risk, and quality for some of the country’s most high-profile rail development projects.
In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll provide strategic insight, performance analysis, and expert guidance to senior stakeholders across government, delivery partners, and the supply chain, ensuring delivery of strategic objectives and value for money.
The Role
You will:

Own and manage integrated project baselines across multiple development and delivery areas.

Lead project controls activities across schedule, cost, risk, and quality, ensuring compliance with programme standards.

Provide strategic performance insight to influence senior decision-making.
*
Drive consistency in project controls approaches across portfolios and contracts.
*
Lead and inspire a team of Project Controls professionals, developing a high-performance culture.
*
Oversee change management, dependency management, and integration of delivery areas.
*
Manage performance reporting cycles, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
About You
You’ll bring:

Extensive experience leading large project controls teams within complex, high-value infrastructure programmes.

Strong technical expertise in schedule management, cost control, risk management, change control, and performance reporting.
*
Knowledge of key project controls systems (e.g., Primavera P6, Prism, CCT, CEMAR).
*
Experience influencing governance forums and managing multi-million-pound investment decisions.
*
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
*
The ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders.
