Head of Procurement

Location: Nantwich, UK (Travel to Multiple sites)

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE + Benefits

About the Role:

As Head of Procurement, you will champion the end-to-end procurement function across all group sites. This is a pivotal leadership position focused on developing and executing robust procurement strategies, optimising group spend, ensuring supplier excellence, and driving cost savings and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement operations across the entire group.
  • Devise and implement strategic plans to achieve a minimum of £200k net annual savings.
  • Analyse expenditure, develop procurement plans, and manage the full tendering cycle.
  • Oversee supplier performance, contractual agreements, SLAs, and rebate frameworks.
  • Support Cap-ex project savings and deliver on innovation initiatives.
  • Proactively forecast and manage procurement risks to ensure supply chain resilience.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the Finance Director and board.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven background as a Head of Procurement within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strategic vision with exceptional commercial acumen.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Advanced analytical, negotiation, and influential leadership skills.
  • MCIPS qualified with a track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
  • Experience in food manufacturing and working with global suppliers.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with procurement software specific to the food manufacturing sector.
  • Prior involvement in sustainable sourcing initiatives.
