Head of PMO - Hybrid Working - Inside IR35Job Type: Contract to Hire | Location: City of London, London (Negotiable)Our client, a global Insurance broker are currently looking to hire a Head of PMO with Insurance sector experience to join the team on a hybrid working contract basis.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement the PMO strategy in alignment with organisational goals.Establish portfolio‑level planning and prioritisation frameworks.Provide leadership and direction to PMO staff and the wider delivery community.Oversee end‑to‑end portfolio lifecycle: intake, prioritisation, capacity planning, and reporting.Maintain a clear, data‑driven view of portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and benefits.Support executive decision‑making with clear insights and recommendations.Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and delivery teams.Build strong relationships across Technology, Business, Finance, HR, and Operations.Communicate complex portfolio insights in a clear, accessible way.Required Skills & ExperienceDeep knowledge of project, programme, and portfolio management practices.Experience implementing and scaling PMO functions (enterprise or departmental).Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.Strong financial and benefits tracking capability.Advanced ability with portfolio tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Planview, Smartsheet).Strong influencing and relationship‑building skills at exec and senior leadership level.Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.Able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.Experience working in complex, multi‑project environments (e.g., tech, digital, transformation).Demonstrated success implementing portfolio governance and delivery methodologies.Line management experience and leadership of multi‑discipline PMO teams.Desirable QualificationsPRINCE2, MSP, PMP, SAFe, Scrum, APM, or equivalent certifications.Experience in change management (e.g., PROSCI).Background in digital, technology, or large‑scale transformation environments.Please apply! #J-18808-Ljbffr
