Head of Platform Marketing
New Yesterday
At Aberdeen our ambition is to be the UK’s leading Wealth & Investments group.
Strengthening talent and culture is one of our strategic priorities. We strive to make Aberdeen a great place to work so that we can attract and retain the industry’s best talent. Our people put our stakeholders at the heart of everything they do by helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of our clients, customers, colleagues, shareholders and society. We are focused on growing our direct and advised wealth platforms and repositioning our specialist asset management business to meet client demand. We are committed to providing excellent client service supported by leading technology and talent.
Aberdeen comprises three businesses – interactive investor (ii), investments and adviser – each of which focuses on meeting and adapting to our clients’ evolving needs:
- Interactive Investor – the UK’s second largest direct‑to‑consumer investment platform, enabling individuals in the UK to plan, save and invest in the way that works for them.
- Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
- Our investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in re‑establishing Aberdeen as the market leader in the platform industry. You will define a marketing strategy that engages advisers, strengthens our brand and drives growth, and contribute to the wider business strategy and execution of the plan.
Joining at a pivotal moment in our transformation journey, you will lead a high‑impact team and work closely with sales, product and service teams to deliver a marketing experience that makes us advisers’ first‑choice platform.

- Empower and develop a high‑performing team, including agencies and partners; creating a culture of trust, accountability and encouraging professional development and growth.
- Own the marketing budget, strategic financial planning and executive‑level reporting for channel performance.
- Act as a strategic partner across the business, fostering cross‑functional alignment and being seen as an authority both internally and externally.
- Collaborate closely with sales, product and service to ensure marketing supports adviser needs.

- Experience managing teams and external partners, fostering high performance and collaboration, and empowering team members to take ownership and accountability for positive outcomes for clients and colleagues.
- Commercial acumen, demonstrable experience in managing significant budgets and strategic optimisation for efficient return on investment.
- Data‑driven approach, with a proven track record in setting KPIs and using insights to improve performance and deliver commercial results; experienced in executive‑level reporting.
