Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting a Head of Operations to join a specialist engineering organisation based in Nottinghamshire. The Head of Operations will be responsible for the production and engineering facility, working within the senior leadership team to drive the productivity of the teams, deliver strategic projects and improve processes where necessary. Duties to include:
Daily management of a matrix structure including production, technical, engineering, quality and projects Develop processes and capability within the manufacturing teams, processes and facility to deliver against project deadlines and quality requirements Lead and develop the operations team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and increase production capacity Drive operational strategy Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with both short-term and long-term business objectives. Encourage cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Experience required:
Proven experience in leading and developing teams within a similar, complex manufacturing environment. Specialist machining or project fabrication preferred. A background in a quality-regulated manufacturing environment Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and engage diverse teams. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels A solid understanding of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies
