A rare opportunity for a senior commercial leader to take ownership of a high-value national accounts portfolio within the construction and engineered solutions space.
This role is designed for an individual who operates comfortably at board, framework and major project level someone who understands how national contractors think, buy and commit, and who can translate that insight into long-term, sustainable revenue.
The Brief You will lead a small, experienced national accounts team and personally shape the strategy for engaging a defined group of major national customers. The focus is not transactional sales, but long-term positioning, influence and strategic alignment across projects, regions and decision-makers.
Success in this role comes from credibility, commercial intelligence and the ability to build deep, multi-layered relationships that stand the test of time.
The Role Full ownership of national account strategy across key customers, sectors and projects
Leadership and development of a national accounts team, setting direction and standards
Negotiation of complex trading agreements, frameworks and commercial structures
Acting as the internal authority on assigned customers their pipelines, people, pressures and politics
Driving cross-functional alignment across sales, engineering, operations and marketing
Identifying where and how growth will be won over the medium to long term
The Individual This role will suit someone already operating at senior national or major accounts level, likely from within construction, engineering, infrastructure or a technically led hire / temporary works solutions environment.
You will bring:
Proven success in national or strategic accounts within a complex, multi-product business
Experience influencing senior stakeholders within main contractors or major project environments
The gravitas to operate at executive and framework level
Strong commercial and contractual capability
A leadership style that develops capability rather than manages activity
High levels of autonomy, judgement and commercial discipline
