Job Summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and inspiring teacher of Music to lead our dedicated and already successful department at The FitzWimarc School, a highly respected and over‑subscribed 11‑18 mixed comprehensive school.
Responsibilities
Lead the Music Department, promoting and delivering outstanding teaching, learning and attainment across all key stages.
Provide guidance, support and advice to department staff, taking a leading role in modelling best practice.
Work closely with other departments (e.g. Drama and Dance) and contribute to a wide range of performances throughout the year.
Maintain the department’s provision of GCSE Music, with a view to offering A Level, and offer a broad range of instrumental lessons, extra‑curricular clubs and enrichment activities including theatre trips.
Qualifications & Experience
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proven track record of achievement.
Suitable for an ambitious teacher of Music or an existing Departmental Head seeking a new opportunity.
