Head of Languages, Literacy and Communication – Welsh Salary: £32,731 – £51,942 (MPR2 – UPR3) Contract type: Permanent, full‑time Contract hours: 32.5 hours Location: Llandeilo Grade: School Teacher Responsibilities

Lead the strategic provision and operational management of the AoLE, including Welsh (First Language and Second Language). Drive curriculum development and innovation, ensuring contemporary, high‑quality learning experiences across all key stages. Lead, mentor and support a dedicated team of teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration, teamwork and continuous improvement. Set and promote high expectations for all learners, inspiring them to develop their linguistic and communication skills to the fullest.

Qualifications & Requirements Welsh language level – verbal: Level 5 (fluent). Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level. DBS level: Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required. Leadership experience: Demonstrated experience in managing a language or literacy department, with strong classroom practice and a passion for developing communication as a core life skill. Benefits
