Head of Inspection / CMM Programmer The Role

We’re recruiting for a Head of Inspection / CMM Programmer to join a precision engineering company producing complex, high-spec components.

This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for running the inspection function while remaining actively involved in CMM programming and inspection activities. You’ll take ownership of the department, act as the key point of contact for quality inspection, and support continuous improvement across the business.

Head of Inspection / CMM Programmer Key Responsibilities

* CMM Programming

* Lead and manage day-to-day inspection activities

* Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections

* Produce detailed inspection reports

* Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

* Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)

* Act as the go-to for quality and inspection issues across production

* Analyse customer drawings/models to extract inspection data

* Maintain audit-ready documentation and quality records

* Proven experience as a CMM Programmer / Senior Quality Inspector
