Frazer Jones are delighted to be partnered with a leading Financial Advisory on the appointment of their first Head of HR role on the ground in London. The role is perfect for someone looking to work 3 days per week in London, with proven expertise working in a small stand-alone Financial Services environment, building People propositions from scratch.


You must have proven tenure throughout your career and expertise in Financial Services.

Paying £100,000 - £110,000 FTE.


The Role

  • Build and lead the HR function from scratch in a stand-alone capacity.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while shaping culture and driving performance.
  • Embed best-in-class HR practices to create a people-led business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a people strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Define and embed company values, culture, and team structure.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to founders and senior leadership on all people-related matters.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across all levels.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Implement performance management processes (annual and mid-year reviews).
  • Introduce and manage 360-degree feedback mechanisms.
  • Build and deliver learning & development programmes tailored to team and individual needs.
  • Oversee mentorship programmes, providing training and support.
  • Design and maintain reward and compensation structures.
  • Own and manage HR systems, data integrity, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international employment law and internal policies.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and manage the firm’s resourcing database and historical records.


Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a stand-alone HR role or building HR function from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of HR disciplines across strategy, operations, and compliance.
  • Deep knowledge of UK and international employment law and HR best practices.
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and leadership.
  • High emotional intelligence with a humble, low-ego approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Experience in professional services or financial services.
