This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced History teacher or current subject leader who is ready to take the next step in their career and make an immediate impact within a forward-thinking and aspirational school community.
The opportunity
As Head of History, the successful candidate will:
* Lead and develop a high-quality, ambitious History curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
* Provide strong subject leadership, supporting and inspiring colleagues within the department
* Use data, assessment and research-informed practice to drive progress and raise attainment
* Promote high expectations, inclusion and aspiration for all students
* Play an active role in the wider life and strategic direction of the school

Head of History - The ideal candidate
Aspire People is seeking a candidate who:
* Is a qualified History teacher with QTS and strong subject knowledge
* Has the ambition and capability to lead a department effectively
* Is reflective, resilient and committed to continuous improvement
* Works well collaboratively and communicates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
* Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
This role would suit an experienced teacher ready for subject leadership or an existing Head of History seeking a new challenge.
