Our mission is simple: enable better care through better spaces.Job LocationSuite 12B, Manchester One, 53 Portland Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M1 3LDJob ResponsibilitiesEstablish, implement and continuously improve a corporate Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) across CHP.Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory Health & Safety legislation and NHS operating environment requirements.Produce high-quality reports, correspondence and presentations for senior management, boards and external stakeholders.Engage staff and stakeholders to create a positive Health & Safety culture across all sites.Lead and develop a high-performing Health & Safety team.Person SpecificationQualificationsEssentialNEBOSH Diploma Level 6 qualified (or equivalent) for a minimum of 5 years.Chartered Membership of IOSH.DesirableBSc in Occupational Safety and Health.Relevant qualification or competence in Fire Safety Management and the undertaking and reviewing of Fire Risk Assessments (minimum NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent).Relevant qualification or competence in Water Safety.ExperienceEssentialHands‑on experience of implementing and overseeing a Health & Safety Management System and processes, corporately, in individual buildings and across building portfolios.Experience producing high-quality reports and correspondence, and giving clear verbal reports and presentations.Expertise in current Health & Safety legislation and corporate, operational and occupational health and safety management issues.Proven ability to engage staff and stakeholders to create a positive health and safety culture.Excellent policy writing and board‑level paper preparation.DesirableKnowledge of and an understanding of the NHS operating environment.Skills and BehavioursEssentialProven leadership skills – ability to engage at all levels.Demonstrable prioritisation and decision‑making capability.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at senior level and externally with key stakeholders, regulatory bodies and peer organisations.Effective people management skills with the ability to develop a high performing team.Resilient with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues as appropriate.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.ApplicationPlease submit your application directly via the link below:https://pfchp.jobs.people-first.com/jobs/details/recruitment/jobdetails/2923b067-d20c-4394-91f7-19aee925e750Any applications not received via this route will not be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
