The role:

The Global Head of Claims Operations will lead the global claim’s operations function, setting and executing the strategic direction and driving operational excellence across all regions. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping the future of claims processing and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with deep re/insurance claims operations expertise, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and delivering measurable impact.


  • Define and execute the global strategy for claims operations in alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing global team, fostering professional development and succession planning-setting clear performance expectations and providing coaching and mentorship for claims operations team
  • Serve as a key advisor to claims leadership on claims operational performance, risk, and innovation.
  • Oversee global claims operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and effective delivery of services and performance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable processes, systems, and tools to support growth and operational agility.
  • Utilise data and analytics to drive performance improvements, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent Claims Operations in cross-functional forums and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and automation to enhance claims processing and reporting.
  • Lead transformation initiatives that improve customer experience, reduce cycle times, and increase operational resilience.


Role requirements:

  • 8 years + of progressive leadership experience in claims operations, preferably within the reinsurance or insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of leading global teams and driving operational transformation.
  • Deep understanding of reinsurance claims, Lloyd’s Market processes, and B2B e-messaging.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in claims management systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office.
