The Role
We’re seeking a forward-thinking and experienced risk and control professional to join us as Head of Frameworks, Governance, and Reporting. This is a management role within the First Line of Defence (1LoD) Chief Controls Office (CCO), responsible for managing and evolving our governance and reporting routines. You’ll deliver high-quality reporting and insights to senior leadership, executive committees, and regulatory stakeholders.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of non-financial risk, and a proven track record in producing board-level reporting. You’ll lead a high-performing team and ensure the integrity and quality of risk data, reporting, and frameworks across the bank.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead the production of impactful reporting to senior forums and governance committees, ensuring clear articulation of control performance, trends, and key themes across business areas.
Monitor top and emerging risks in partnership with business stakeholders and ensure timely escalation and resolution through practical governance mechanisms.
Oversee the issue and action management process, ensuring clear ownership, timely closure, and meaningful remediation of issues.
Drive data quality and consistency in the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tool, enabling accurate real-time insights and decision-making.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
Work closely with control owners, business and functional leads, and 2nd line partners to strengthen governance and control practices in day-to-day operations.
Support delivery of strategic initiatives by embedding frameworks and governance models that enable agility and transparency.
Essential Experience
7+ years' experience in control, governance, or reporting roles within the financial services industry.
Strong track record of designing and delivering executive- and Board-level reporting that informs business action.
Deep understanding of control frameworks and governance models and how they enable effective 1st line execution.
Hands-on strong experience with GRC systems and leveraging them for insight and assurance.
Proven leadership capability and stakeholder influence across functions and levels.
Skills and Attributes
