At Saga, were on an exciting growth journey within our Travel business, and were looking for a senior finance leader to help shape what comes next.
Working closely with the Travel CFO, this is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of a £500m+ turnover business. As Head of FP&A for our Holidays business, you will provide financial stewardship, lead best-in-class planning and analysis, and play a critical role in driving commercial performance. Youll partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business, turning complex data into clear, actionable insight that influences key strategic decisions.

This role requires you to be working from our Folkestone office a minimum of 3 times a week. We have designated office space for colleagues in our Travel business, allowing us to collaborate and share success as a function.

Main Responsibilities
Our new Head of FP&A for the Holiday business will be accountable for financial planning integrity, P&L accuracy, and a cohesive financial narrative that underpins business decision making.
Other accountabilities will include;
Owning financial performance & planning, setting standards for forecasting and KPI framework
Driving cross-functional alignment across business functions, ensuring Finance strategically shapes commercial decisions.
End-to-end ownership of the P&L with financial accountability for revenue and, gross profit. Ensuring accuracy, transparency, and Exec insight.
Leading Five Year Plan, budgeting and forecasting and owning the planning cycle across business functions
Building and leading a high performing FP&A team with best practice forecasting processes with accountability and ownership
Owning planning systems and models and drive automation and data integrity
Leading month end P&L with robust analytical review
Leading business partnering across multi functions including commercial, operations, product and marketing teams, challenge and create value added
Driving performance management with product economic insight influencing the P&L.
Owning commercial performance narrative, that drives commercial and financial outcomes into clear insight that informs Business understanding.
Delivering commercial modelling and decision analysis, including scenario modelling, and commercial risk/return assessments.
Providing commercial value across volume growth, margin improvement and cost transformation, ensuring insights deliver tangible financial results.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven senior leadership across FP&A and commercial finance.
Whilst experience in the travel industry would be advantageous, we are open to considering candidates with advanced commercial insight and modelling capability in other sectors.
You will also be able to demonstrate;
Ownership of planning and performance, including budgeting, forecasting and full P&L accountability.
Exceptional senior stakeholder influence, able to engage, challenge and shape decision making
High proficiency in planning, analytics and MI tools (e.g., Workday, advanced Excel)
Advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis.
Business partnering and ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
Strategic planning, long term value creation and commercial performance optimisation
Leading and developing multi disciplinary high performing teams.
