Head of Finance, London Design and Engineering UTC

London Design and Engineering UTC is a high‑performing, ambitious organisation seeking to develop a multi‑academy trust. With rapid growth, our finance function must support budgetary discipline, forecasting and cash‑flow management to deliver value each year. We are now looking to move our finances to the next stage with the appointment of a Head of Finance. This new post will support the finance operations of LDE UTC, reporting to the Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO). The primary focus will be to build on an excellent base to support the growth of LDE in a fast‑paced environment, through efficiency and development of reporting metrics, whilst maintaining robust financial management and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role will also support self‑sufficiency, having relied on external accountancy support in the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the PSF finance system
• Manage month‑end procedures and preparation of monthly management accounts
• Prepare annual budgets and statutory accounts
• liaison with auditors and preparation of stakeholder returns
