Head of Finance Delivery (Major Programmes) 3-year Fixed-term Contract Location: York or Bristol based (50% hybrid working) Salary: circa £120,000 This is a great job for someone who enjoys leading complex Finance change and brings clarity, structure and calm to fast moving delivery. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in multiteam environments and builds strong relationships across senior partners and suppliers. It also suits someone who takes pride in landing change safely into BAU and who feels energized by guiding Finance teams through transformation. A bit about the job: This role exists to lead complex Finance delivery of a multi-vendor, multi-year transformation of Aviva's Insurance, Wealth & Retirement business: the role will ensure finance change lands safely, on time and to the quality expected. It supports Accounting, Actuarial and Finance Operations by guiding them through readiness, testing and adoption activities. Coordination across multiple internal and external workstreams forms a core part of the work, with a focus on aligning requirements and decisions. The role also brings structure, clarity and momentum to programme governance, helping teams feel confident at each stage. It creates a strong link between Finance and the wider programme, ensuring everyone involved understands what needs to be delivered and when. Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong experience leading major Finance change in a large or complex environment, with experience in the financial services or insurance sector essential Deep understanding of accounting, actuarial or financial reporting processes and controls. Clear, confident communication with senior partners and external suppliers. Proven programme delivery skills, including planning, risk management, testing and cutover. Ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes at pace.
