Job Overview

Head of Family Solicitor – leading the Family law team, delivering best‑in‑class family‑law advice to high net worth clients. The role involves advising on all family‑related matters, including divorce, child disputes, financial remedy claims, pre‑ and post‑nuptial settlements, domestic violence, cohabitation, ToLATA claims, surrogacy and adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Family law practice, ensuring high‑quality legal service to HNW clients.
  • Provide senior‑level advice and case management on complex family‑law matters.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior solicitors and support staff.
  • Contribute to marketing and business growth initiatives.
  • Engage with clients and cultivate strong relationships.
  • Represent the firm externally and drive thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor with significant legal experience in family law.
  • Strong billing history and clean claims record.
  • Proven competency in high net worth financial remedy claims and contested proceedings.
  • Excellent client care and organisational skills.
  • Warm, personable, eager to learn and develop.
  • Strong IT skills and openness to new ways of working.
  • Positive, optimistic, hardworking with a can‑do attitude.
  • Team‑player with a keenness to help colleagues.
