The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Head of Engineering to join our team at our Rogerstone Meals site, which is a long-standing and respected site, known for producing premium Ready Meals for high-profile retail partners including Marks & Spencer. As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of our engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee a team of 50 engineers, manage the PPM schedules & CAPEX plan, and work closely with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with their innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the engineering strategy, focusing on proactive rather than reactive measures.
\n
• Oversee effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
\n
• Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products.
\n
• Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.
\n
• Ensure the smooth operation of typical FMCG machinery, including conveyors and fabrication facilities.
\n

What We're Looking For:

\n
• Extensive experience in engineering within a similar manufacturing environment.
\n
• Strong SLT experience in Engineering, ideally being the Site Engineering Lead/Manager
\n
• Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
\n
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
\n
• Comfortable with fabrication and buildings maintenance.
\n
• Ideally, experience within a similar-sized business or operation within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
\n
