Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Economics and Business Department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning, designing and implementing a broad, balanced and innovative curriculum, and improving student outcomes. Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons, fostering a love for the subject and high standards of attainment. Lead on curriculum development, shaping schemes of work and resources to ensure relevance and depth in line with national standards. Lead on departmental activities, including field trips and enrichment programmes, to support a well‑rounded learning experience. Track and support pupil progress, providing feedback and reporting to parents to ensure each student achieves their potential. Act as a Form Tutor, offering pastoral support, promoting positive behaviour and instilling self‑discipline.
What We Are Looking For
Holds a good honours degree in Economics, Business or a related discipline, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Is committed to personal development. Brings excellent knowledge of the subject, curriculum requirements and exam specifications. Possesses strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to lesson planning and effective classroom management skills.
