Wates Residential are looking for a Head of Development to oversee and drive aspects of development across our South Region, working on a major regeneration partnerships whether through a joint venture or multi‑phase development agreement.
This role will oversee/manage all matters relating to land, town planning, AH strategy, legal, partnership management, development financial/commercial, engagement strategy, stakeholder management, and reporting.
As a Head of Development, you will:
- Create a high performing, resourced and motivated team working on a large-scale regeneration partnership agreement.
- Unlock future development opportunities to expand the existing business plan of the partnership agreement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key public and private sector partners to deliver the project-level business plan and return on investment. Actively develop and maintain positive relationship with customers.
- In conjunction with the functional teams, prepare, update and deliver budgets and strategic plans. Responsibility for the commercial performance of the partnership agreement for Wates and where relevant for the JV.
- Be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of planning appraisals & risk assessments for schemes within the portfolio.
- Regular development reporting, including to Wates Residential Board and external partnership board.
