I am seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Credit Risk to join a global trading firm with a strong presence in the commodities and metals markets. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of credit risk management across a diverse portfolio of counterparties, including corporates, financial institutions, CCPs, and state-owned enterprises. Reporting to the Head of Risk, and acting as their deputy when required, you will lead the credit risk function, ensure adherence to the firm’s credit risk appetite, and drive policy development and risk mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in corporate credit analysis with specific experience in commodities—particularly metals—and a deep understanding of the credit risks associated with initial and variation margin requirements. You will be responsible for performing and presenting detailed credit assessments, monitoring exposure limits, escalating breaches, and contributing to broader risk management activities across market, liquidity, and operational risk. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to lead and mentor a credit team and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
