Job Title: Head of Content
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
Reports to: Creative Director (Brand) & Head of Marketing (BAU)
Role Summary
August is seeking a visionary and operational Head of Content to lead the creation and execution of all brand and product content across the organisation. In this foundational leadership role, you will shape how August presents its collections, homes, and lifestyle to the world — transforming product offerings into compelling, aspirational narratives that inspire our global audience. Operating within a unique dual-reporting structure, you will partner closely with the Creative Director to elevate the brand through high-impact storytelling and campaigns, while collaborating with the Head of Marketing to ensure Business-As-Usual (BAU) content drives engagement, demand, and conversion. This role offers the opportunity to build a best-in-class content function from the ground up, influencing the future of luxury co‑ownership marketing and customer experience.
Core Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Storytelling
Define and execute a comprehensive content vision that bridges brand storytelling with performance marketing.
Develop aspirational, lifestyle‑led narratives that emotionally connect audiences with August’s homes and experiences.
Own the global social media strategy, including content pillars, platform approaches, and campaign planning.
Ensure content is culturally relevant through localisation across key regional markets.
Production & Execution (Brand & BAU)
Oversee end‑to‑end content production across video, photography, copy, social, and editorial outputs.
Build and manage a scalable BAU content engine supporting launches, campaigns, and daily marketing needs.
Lead planning and execution of home photoshoots to maintain consistent, premium visual standards.
Collaborate with the Creative Director on high‑impact brand campaigns that elevate August’s market position.
Own and manage the content budget, forecasting spend and optimising resource allocation across workstreams.
Partnerships & Leadership
Manage relationships with external partners, agencies, influencers, and collaborators.
Build, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary content team as the Creative function grows.
Serve as a key bridge between Creative and Marketing teams, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Align content outputs with broader commercial objectives and product priorities.
Skills & Experience
Essential Skills (Non‑Negotiable)
8+ years’ experience in content strategy, creative direction, or content production within lifestyle, luxury, consumer goods, or agency environments.
Demonstrable track record delivering high‑quality multi‑channel campaigns and product storytelling.Deep expertise in social media strategy across major platforms.
Strong understanding of content production workflows, timelines, and budgets across multiple formats.
Proven experience managing complex budgets and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Ability to operate effectively in a matrix or dual‑reporting structure.
Global mindset with experience adapting content for diverse markets.
Strong leadership capability with experience building or scaling teams.
Desirable Skills (Value Add)
Experience working with luxury brands, hospitality, real estate, or travel sectors.
Exposure to both European and North American markets.
Additional languages.
Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Monday.com, Slack, or similar collaboration platforms.
