We provide system modelling data, software and analysis to support energy transition planning and decision-making. We are funded by the Quadrature Climate Foundation, Google.org, Sequoia Climate Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and European Climate Foundation, among others. Our data, software and analysis is used by developers, financiers, planners and think tanks internationally.

You will be responsible for shaping and driving the company’s technology strategy, creating a platform that is a leader in energy system modelling. Collaborate with senior leadership to define the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the company’s business goals
Lead, inspire, and grow talented Software, Data and Machine Learning teams
Ensure the scalability, security, reliability and cost efficiency of our technology infrastructure
Lead on technical architecture and design ensuring that it is scalable, flexible, and robust
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Technology team
Take a hands-on approach to project management. Drive agile methodologies and best practices to optimize product development processes and increase efficiency
You should be passionate about building software products as well as being deeply curious about energy and the energy transition. While we are a rapidly growing tech startup, we are also a non-profit, so a high level of adaptability and willingness to approach challenges with creativity and curiosity is essential
Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology and software with proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP Engineering, or similar).
Expertise in data strategies, tooling and architectures.
Experience developing and productionising machine learning and data science workloads.
Proven track record of successfully building and launching products in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including agile/scrum, and experience working with cross-functional teams of engineers and product managers.
Familiarity with electricity markets, policy, modelling approaches and modelling software.
