Leadership & Management
Lead, manage, and develop the Building Surveying team in Cambridge Provide mentorship, training, and performance management to team members Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with company values Identify and secure new business opportunities across sectors Maintain and grow existing client relationships Demonstrate a strong ability to win new business and generate revenue Contribute to the wider firm’s business development strategy Represent the firm at industry events and networking opportunities
Project & Service Delivery
Oversee delivery of a wide range of building surveying services, including:
Contract administration Dilapidations advice Technical due diligence Planned preventative maintenance
Ensure all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards
Strategic Input
Contribute to regional and national business strategy Support cross-disciplinary collaboration within the firm Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for growth and innovation
Key Requirements
Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent) Significant experience in a senior or leadership role within building surveying Demonstrable ability to win new business and generate revenue through proactive client engagement Strong track record in business development and client relationship management Excellent technical knowledge across a broad range of surveying services Proven leadership and team management skills Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking ability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
