Head of Bids

2 Days Old

Overview We are looking after a really interesting opportunity for a senior bids professional to step into a Head of Bids role within a well established advisory and professional services firm. This is a maternity cover position but it is a genuinely visible role with real influence across the business. The successful person will be working directly with senior leadership and partners to shape pursuit strategy, improve win rates and drive the overall bid capability of the firm. This is not a traditional bid support role. The team is looking for someone with presence and gravitas who can challenge thinking, influence senior stakeholders and take ownership of the most strategic opportunities across the business. The role will involve leading major bids end to end, coaching partners and subject matter experts on pursuit strategy, improving bid processes and helping the firm raise the quality and consistency of its proposals. On any given week you might be helping shape the strategy behind a major corporate pitch, coaching senior leaders ahead of a presentation, or running a complex multi service bid across different teams. The environment is collaborative and fast paced with strong senior engagement across the firm. There is already a solid bid capability in place and the aim is to bring in someone who can take it to the next level. They are open to candidates from a range of professional services environments including consulting, legal, advisory or Big 4 backgrounds. Senior Bid Managers ready to step up into a Head of Bids position would also be of interest provided they have strong experience influencing senior stakeholders. The role is available UK wide but travel will be required to London. Key experience
