Job Description
Head of Antibody Engineering / Development C Suite Virtual Biotech European VC Backed
Nexia have exclusively partnered with a leading European life sciences VC to appoint a Head of Antibody Engineering / Development into one of their internal portfolio companies.
This is a C suite level opportunity within a virtual biotech, offering the chance to build and shape antibody strategy from the ground up, with strong financial backing and a clear platform vision.
This is not a role that pulls you away from the science. They are looking for someone who has genuinely lived antibody development and still wants to stay close to the detail while influencing broader company direction.
The role
You will take ownership of antibody engineering and development strategy, working closely with investors, scientific advisors, and external partners to progress early-stage programmes and build out platform capability.
In a lean environment, you'll shape scientific direction, programme selection, and long-term development plans.
What they are looking for
Circa 15 years of experience in antibody engineering and development
Deep expertise across therapeutic antibody design, mutation, and optimisation
Strong track record progressing antibody programmes through early development
Ability to operate across multiple disease areas
Comfortable working in a hands-on, high ownership environment
Experience working with or alongside external partners and stakeholders
