Job Vacancy: Head Gardener at Foxhills Collection Are you an experienced and passionate horticulturist with a talent for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces? Foxhills Collection is seeking a skilled and motivated Head Gardener to lead our gardening team and oversee the management of our picturesque grounds. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the gardening team in the maintenance and enhancement of the grounds, including planting, pruning, weeding, and watering Implementing seasonal lawn care plans Perform monthly woodland checks and any reactive works needed Develop and implement garden design plans, ensuring that they are aesthetically pleasing, sustainable, and reflective of the property's overall vision Monitor plant health and implement pest and disease control measures as needed Oversee the operation and maintenance of gardening equipment, ensuring that it is properly maintained and used safely Manage the gardening budget, including purchasing plants, tools, and supplies, and ensuring that expenses are kept within budgetary constraints Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the grounds are maintained to the highest standards and meet the needs of guests and visitors Liaise with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to members Take a proactive approach whilst reacting to department and member needs Ensure all health and safety requirements for the department are met Requirements: Minimum RHS level two in Amenity Horticulture Extensive experience in gardening or horticulture, with a proven track record of success in managing large-scale gardening projects Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team In-depth knowledge of plants, shrubs, and trees, and their care and maintenance requirements Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks Relevant certifications or qualifications in horticulture or landscaping preferred Benefits: Competitive salary package Company pension scheme Peoples Partnership Enhanced Company Sick Pay, Maternity and Paternity Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
