We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative dishes. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and inspiring a team to achieve excellence in food production and presentation.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment

Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently

Manage food production processes, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen

Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently

Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement

Develop new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing

Maintain a focus on hospitality standards, ensuring guest satisfaction through excellent service

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques

Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene

Experience in food production, menu development, and restaurant operations

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure

Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable

Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
