We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to join one of the city's leading private members' clubs and Inhouse events venues—an iconic heritage building steeped in history, tradition, and timeless elegance. This is a rare opportunity to become part of a highly respected culinary team, delivering outstanding dining experiences in a truly unique setting. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the kitchen operation. From elegant member dining to large-scale banquets and high-profile events, you will be at the heart of it all—bringing creativity, precision, and leadership to every service. What you'll be doing: Leading and inspiring the kitchen team during high-volume, fast-paced service Overseeing the delivery of exceptional food for banquets, events, and formal dining Designing and developing seasonal menus and memorable dining experiences Managing multiple events simultaneously across various function rooms—from weddings to corporate dining and private functions Taking ownership of kitchen administration, including rotas, ordering, and compliance Driving effective wastage management and cost control to maximise efficiency and sustainability Collaborating closely with key departments including Events, Sales Operations, and Venue Management to ensure seamless event delivery Maintaining exceptional standards of organisation, quality, and consistency under pressure What we're looking for: A proven Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up Strong, natural leadership with the ability to motivate and develop a team Experience in high-end events, banqueting, or multi-outlet kitchens in Tradional setting with stric Guidlines Excellent organisational and multitasking skills A calm, focused approach—especially during busy service periods A genuine passion for delivering outstanding food and guest experiences What's on offer: Competitive salary of £66,000 Predominantly Monday to Friday working pattern Flexibility required during peak event periods, including occasional weekends Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) for additional hours worked Generous downtime, including a quieter period in August A fantastic opportunity to achieve a better work-life balance without compromising on quality or prestige Kellan Group (including all of our brands, Berkeley Scott and Xpress Recruitment) are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
